 Pinwheels For Prevention

 in recognition of

 National Child Abuse Prevention Month

 April 2017

To help raise awareness of the importance of preventing and reporting child abuse, this year Bucks CAC volunteers and staff will plant a "pinwheel garden" at the new NOVA Thrift Shop, Route 313 and Broad Street, Hilltown Township, just south of Dublin.

The colorful pinwheels represent the courage and commitment shown by Bucks County individuals in reporting suspected child abuse last year.

In recent weeks, Bucks County residents have been shocked to learn about the decades of child abuse allegedly conducted by a Falls Township man who is currently facing prosecution.

"The many years and high count of child victims that the District Attorney's office believes may be attributed to this crime reinforces the need for National Child Abuse Prevention Month this April to raise awareness with every member of our communities," says Steve Doerner, director of Bucks County Children's Advocacy Center.
